PopMart: Live from Mexico City is a concert video release by rock band U2 from their PopMart Tour. Recorded on 3 December 1997 at Foro Sol on the band's featured stop in Mexico City, Mexico, it was released on VHS and Video CD in November 1998, and was re-released in September 2007 on DVD. It was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Long Form Music Video in 2000. Selected songs from the release were featured on the 2000 live album, Hasta la Vista Baby U2 Live from Mexico City. U2 - Discotheque - Popmart, Live from Mexico City 1997 DVD. mp4 - Продолжительность: 7:58. U2 - concert film capturing legendary Irish rock band U2's 1997 Popmart Tour live in Mexico City. Title: U2: PopMart Live from Mexico City 1997. In this two-plus-hour video, filmed on December 3, 1997, at the Foro Sol Autodromo in Mexico City, U2 showed that they had not entirely lost their sense of humor and certainly not their sense of spectacle, beginning the show by entering through the crowd to the strains of M's 1979 hit Pop Muzik, Bono dressed in a hooded bathrobe. Songs in album U2 - Popmart Live From Mexico City 1998. U2 - Pop Muzik. U2 - Mofo. U2 - I Will Follow. U2's live PopMart concert in Mexico City is set to be re-released on DVD later this month. This is the second classic live concert from U2 to be re-released on a DVD format in the last year the other being Zoo TV. Though I have no doubt that this will be a great concert from U2 as most of their concerts are, I doubt it will be as greatly appreciated by most. A concert such as Under A Blood Red Sky Re-mastered, perhaps willwould have gone down alot better. Due to Pop's low success and U2's less popular image of the mid 90's, this concert will not bring much interest to the general public. U2: How Bono's Health Problems Inspired our New Album. Filmed at the Foro Sol Autodromo in Mexico City on 3rd December 1997, PopMart Live from Mexico City was directed by David Mallet and first released on video the following year this is the first time it has been released on DVD. Described as a sci-fi disco supermarket, the PopMart Tour opened in its spiritual home, Las Vegas on 25th April 1997. All trash and kitsch, PopMart introduced a giant mirrorball lemon, a 100ft cocktail stick - complete with olive, and the works of Lichtenstein, Warhol and Haring, to a live rock audience: a production experience never quite seen before.
