Collections is the second album by rock band The Young Rascals. The album was released on January 9, 1967 and rose to 15 on the Billboard Top LPs chart. Collections was the Rascals' first album to showcase their songwriting talent, with six of the album's songs written by band members. The garage rock feel has been banished almost entirely from the group's second album, whose release followed a pair of disappointing singles What Is the Reason and Come On Up. It also includes their first misjudgment on an album, Gene Cornish's too quiet, too introspective, and way-too-languid No Love to Give, amid an otherwise wonderfully soulful body of music that picks up right where In the Midnight Hour from the prior album left off. The Young Rascals aka The Rascals the group dropped the Young from their name in early 1968 while continuing their streak of hits were an American soul and rock group of the 1960s.
