March of Mephisto Black Halo is the rare metal album that 100 pulls off being emotional on top of kicking ass. It feels bigger than itself - basically, it's Kamelot's Operation Mindcrime. Like Queensryche, Kamelot will always be remembered for this one, no matter how badly they might screw up later. For a best album ever, the performances aren't really that exceptional besides Roy Khan's smooth vocals and Jens Johanssen's guest solos. The biggest virtuosos of the album are the songwriters, as well as the productionorchestral arrangement team of Sascha Paeth and Miro, t. Kamelot, with this album even more than with others, have hit on a winning formula that has guaranteed them a three-way home run for me Epica, The Black Halo, Karma. The band knows how to play, they know when to be epic, when to be heavy, when to be soft, and they have a vocalist that can actually convincingly perform and elevate all of the rock-solid complex songs that the band is playing behind him. A constantly amazing album that will send your head down to the floor in utter amazement. Highly recommended for anyone into the more melodic reaches of metal. Play jigsaw puzzles for free Home.
