One of the best Promo releases of all time. This release is some sort of a prequel of the later development of Sebastian Hoff as a producer. The A-side contains 2 hard tracks which became huge in hardcore land. Can You Thrill Me still gives a lot of people (incl me) goosebumps al over their body. These 2 tracks are in a kind of industrial sound. Especially for the time they were released. Distorted kicks and rough sounds. Very cool. The B-side is more in a Brian Acardy style. A lot more "gabberish" than the A-side. fast melody's and hard powerfull kicks. Smoke Motherfuckers is still one of my alltime favorites. I believe it even became a "Mysteryland Classic" once, which means that almost every dj that night played it and everytime the visitors went crazy. Been a long time things like this happened. Anyway, as said this release is definately one of my alltime favorites and has set the standard for the releases of Promo nowadays!!
Five reasonable hardcore tracks in a typical Promo style but by far not as good as his earlier release "The Killing Fields". As far as i am concerned only the tracks from the A-side really matter. "Can You Thrill Me" is probably the best track, it has a great relaxing sound in the mid-part of the track. "My Shit is Raw" is a track that stands for promo and stays good. "Back to the past" on the B-side is full of oldschool samples and looks like a sort of megamix, a nice in betweener but no more than that. Same thing for "Smoke Motherfuckers" and "Imagination", nothing really special. The tracks all have a low tempo, conforming to the, in that time upcoming style; New-style. All together a nice Promo record but there's not something that jumps out and could have made this release really special. All tracks sound a little to slow and allround.

You absolutely can not compare this release with "The Killing Fields", what you're talking about is just the statement of your personal taste!"Can You Thrill Me" and "My Shit Is Raw" are totally outstanding and apart from Acardipane's and Miro's productions kind of ahead of what was going on soundwise at this time. The combination of melancholic singing and the raw Industrial beats in a laid back midtempo speed makes the A-side so special and can be seen as a first step towards the Industrial Hardcore trax Promo later successfully spreaded with his Promo Files!
